Stower Vale Pre-School is located within the grounds of Stower Provost Community School in Woodville, in the heart of the Blackmore Vale.

We offer full day care for children from 2 years until school going age.  We also have a Toddler Group on Wednesday mornings, held in the Primary School hall.

Fees: Fees: £3.50 per hour, to be paid either weekly or half-termly in advance (see Admission Policy). 

Our aim at Stower Vale Pre-School is to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment where children feel happy and confident in their surroundings.

We want the children in our care to have fun while learning and developing through play.  All activities are carefully planned to meet the needs of all the individual children and are linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We are a community group with charitable status, owned and run by a parent led committee.  We are very lucky to have our own building, which was purchased in 2001 with Heritage Lottery funding. 

Every year we have an Annual General Meeting where a committee is elected to be responsible for policy and to provide direction and administration for the group. 

We do encourage all parents/carers to be involved in some way, whether it be on the committee, helping with fund-raising or sharing your talents.  We really appreciate a little extra help with our activities – cooking, music, gardening, craft work or an occasionally to read a story at story time.  So if you would like to help please let us know.

Stower Vale Pre-School is registered and inspected by Ofsted.

Overall the quality of the provision is outstanding. The setting meets the needs of all children exceptionally well. The most striking feature is the way the manager and staff have embraced totally all of the requirements of the EYFS framework. Within, this inclusive setting, children’s safety and safeguarding are paramount. Partnerships with parents and the adjacent school are very effective. The quality of self evaluation is excellent. The setting has the outstanding capacity for further improvement.
